Four Seasons Wedding Big Island of Hawaii was absolutely beautiful. I mean it is Hawaii. I do not think you could go wrong with location. Alex and Kaleila contacted me back in the summer of 2021, they were supposed to get married in 2020 but a little thing called COVID set them back. They were supposed to get married in downtown Boise, Idaho. I photographed their lovely family and fur babies this last Thanksgiving in beautiful McCall Idaho. They were such a joy to be around. I loved every minute of getting to know them. During the months of covid they decided to make the move to Seattle Washington
Alex is in the medical field and they were ready for a change. They had asked me how I felt about traveling for their wedding. I was so excited to go back to the Pacific Northwest and was all for it. Then they told me that their wedding was going to be held at the Four Seasons on the Big Island of Hawaii and I was ecstatic. I have wanted to start traveling for weddings for a while now and I have been so blessed to have traveled twice this year. To see my other fun destination CLICK HERE. My husband and I flew in a few days before the wedding to explore the Island. We had a great time. The night before the wedding we headed to the Four Seasons and attended rehearsal. I knew from the moment I stepped on the property that this venue was amazing. We walked around and learned all the locations for the next day and had a tasty dinner.
Wedding Day at the Four Seasons
I arrived at the Four Seasons and started off with the boys. They were staying onsite at a Villa a few miles from the actual wedding. I started with his details and then photographed him and his guys. They were a fun bunch. I then made my way to the girls who were staying onsite. I started off with details and then had fun in the outdoor shower with the girls. This bride’s details were absolutely stunning. She had them all ready for me when I got there, it’s always so helpful to have them all in one place. Four Seasons Wedding Big Island of Hawaii was going to be beautiful.
First Look and Ceremony
The first look took place in a beautiful garden area and there were two first looks. One with the bride and then one with Alex’s beautiful daughter. There were so many sweet emotions during these two moments. They shared this special moment together as a family. We then headed to the ceremony site. They call the site the “Wedding Tree” and I can see why. The view was stunning and the florist created a masterpiece. The backdrop for the ceremony literally reminded me of a fairytale. There were a total of 16 people. I have to say intimate weddings are catching my heart for sure.
Cocktail Hour and Reception
Cocktail Hour was held just down from the ceremony site and was complete with a fresh seafood bar. Custom cocktail drinks for the couple and their guests. It was a low key low stress fun part of the evening. I took the couple away for sunset photos along the lava fields and the beach. We then joined the fun at the reception and listened to great toasts and danced the night away. Oh and do not forget about the four course meal that was super yummy. I am beyond blessed to have had such an amazing opportunity to photograph this amazing The Four Seasons Wedding on the Big Island of Hawaii. It is so neat to see my photography evolve and grow over the years.
