Elegant Halo at The Point Wedding in Portland, Maine was stunning. Bryce and Molly contacted me a while back about photographing their Portland, Maine wedding. To say I was thrilled was an understatement, never having had the opportunity to visit the East Coast. I jumped at the opportunity to pack my bags and head for the East Coast.

The Back Story

Bryce and Molly met when they were both students living in Utah. Bryce is currently in medical school and Molly is a NICU nurse. They live in New York, Molly however is from Maine just outside of Portland. They chose the venue Halo at Thompson Point. The venue had an industrial feel with beautiful exposed brick throughout the venue. It had so much character and really had a ton of charm throughout it.

The couple started their day off in Brunswick. Bryce and the boys had a shave and cut at a local barbershop and the girls made the trip south to Portland to get their hair done. Molly’s Aunt however did her hair and makeup. Molly kept her dress from her bridesmaid and had the coolest reveal with them. The couple did a first look at a beautiful Airbnb that was located right on the coast of Maine. There was even a red fishing boat right out in the harbor.

The Ceremony at Halo at the Point

The ceremony was performed by Bryce’s dad who also happened to marry my brother and his wife. Next thing we know he may just give up his day job to travel and marry people all over the world. I mean probably not but that would be a cool job. The ceremony was short and sweet and full of emotion. They had a cocktail hour that was full of some of the best appetizers I’ve had. Right down to the raw bar of Oysters that were caught that morning. The toasts were full of joy and emotion. There were not a lot of dry eyes in the crowd after all the toasts including a surprise toast from her brother that even had me a little teary.

The night followed with the traditional elements of cake cutting. The cake was made by Bryce’s Grandfather. Even recreating a photo from Molly’s Great Grandma’s wedding. A special sibling dance to Toy Story, You Got A Friend in Me. I stole the couple away to chase the little bit of light on the cloudy evening we had. I could not express how thankful I am to have had this opportunity to travel across the country to photograph this beautiful wedding at Halo at The Point Wedding Portland, Maine I hope to soon go back! This Elegant Halo at the Point Wedding are what my wedding dreams are made of.
