Andoni and Adriana’s Sandstone Vineyard Wedding in Kuna, Idaho was gorgeous. This was my first time photographing a wedding at Sandstone Vineyard and it did not disappoint. The grounds were amazingly well kept. Both the bride and groom’s family were from Eastern Oregon and they made the trip to watch these two tie the knot. There were several unique elements that brought this wedding together. Adriana’s sense of style brought just the right amount of Boho and elegance to create a beautifully detailed wedding. Instead of the normal ribbon you find on a bouquet, she had a macramé piece made to add to her bouquet.
Andoni and Adriana have known each other since high school but never thought of dating back in the day. It was not until they graduated and were reintroduced through mutual friends that they hit it off. Adriana had this to say “We have been dating for almost 2 years and I knew I wanted to marry him when I met his family and he met mine. He fits right in! He proposed on a hike at the beach in San Diego, California. We are looking forward to being able to spend every day together instead of apart and getting to know the little things about each other!”
The couple elected not to see each other before the ceremony. They did, however, have a first touch. It was a special moment they shared . Their ceremony was performed by a family friend. Andoni is in the Military and did put on his blues for a few of the photos. The reception was full of dancing and special moments. Lots of emotion as the first dances took place and lots of happy memories were made. I was able to sneak the couple away for that magical golden hour glow. These two share so much love for one another I can not wait to see where life takes them. Their getaway car was so unique and a surprise for the groom. I have to say it’s the first car I have seen like this! Cheers to the newlyweds Andoni and Adriana!

Nate and Krista’s Mountain View Wedding Nate and Krista’s Mountain View Wedding was held in Sandy, Oregon. Bear Creek Lodge is located in beautiful McCall, Idaho. The Bear Creek Lodge Wedding was a dream wedding for Megan and Nate. The setting was absolutely stunning. High in the forest this wedding was rustic with chic elements brought in by different details throughout the day. Surrounded by green and rustic forest and hints of wild flowers throughout, the property made this a dream location to say “I Do” after 18 months of planning.
Nate and Megan met through a mutual friend. Megan was all dressed up and her plans had fallen through so she joined her friend Blas who was headed out with her friend Nate. They spent the night talking. Megan said “I had no idea that Nate would be there, but when we sat next to each other we couldn’t stop talking, which isn’t normal for either of us. We started dating about 3 weeks later in November of 2017. I knew that I wanted to marry Nate pretty much from the beginning, but he says that he knew in December of 2019 when we survived a kitchen remodel together.” Their first date was a 9 mile hike shortly followed by so much adventure over the years.
This wedding was so much fun. Megan and Nate’s engagement session in Parma can found HERE. I knew the wedding would be full of laughs as the couple is surrounded by their closest friends and family.
Bear Creek Lodge did not disappoint. I arrived at a fully set up ceremony and reception area. The details were planned out and created with so much thought. Right down to the monogrammed napkins and personal touches throughout the whole space. There were doors leading to the ceremony space were designed and built by the groom’s family. Wildflower flowers lined aisle and floral accents on the unique arch really helped bring Megan’s vision to life.
Megan and Nate’s first look was so special. The backdrop was beautiful and the couple shared a very special moment together. First looks are one of my favorite things to photograph. They are so special and the reactions are priceless. The couple shared their vows to one another and there was a lot of laughing and hugging. Bridal party photos were next. Dresses that were worn by the bridesmaids were so unique. I have never seen anything quite like them. Almost like they were straight outta Kate Spade’s closet. I loved them and each one of them were different with the same floral element to them.
The couple was married by their friend Blas, the same person who introduced them. She jokingly said after their first date that she would officiate the wedding. Years later she did just that. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. The reception was catered by Horsewood Catering. Megan’s family owns a cattle ranch and provided the meat. I can honestly say it was the best beef I have ever had. The way to my heart is good meat and beautiful details. Maybe not in that order but I will never tell.
They shared wonderful toasts that were full of stories and advice. The couple danced the night away after I took them for magical golden hour photos that did not disappoint. This whole day was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. I was so glad to be a part of Megan and Nate’s day. Thank you for making me feel like a part of the family. Wishing you so much adventure and happiness. Cheers to the newlywed couple!

Chateau des Fleurs Wedding Inspiration. The Chateau is a wedding venue located in Eagle, Idaho. It is a French inspired Chateau that leaves no detail out. This luxury wedding venue is one of a kind. It’s grand hall is breathtaking and the grounds are kept so beautifully no matter the time of year. If you have a spring, summer or fall wedding the Chef uses vegetables grown in the gardens. They are located on the grounds of the venue. Farm to table as much as they can they are able to.
From Grand halls, to the gold and silver ballrooms this unique venue has it all. The inspiration behind this editorial shoot was all things pretty and elegant. The local Idaho Wedding vendors came through and did not disappoint. The color pallet was soft and light with vintage touches throughout. The three different cakes were done by a local baker out of Boise Honey Bakes Cakery. Her attention to detail is simply amazing. Every detail was thought out and beautifully put together.
The couple Josh and Courtney were simply radiating and their love showed through the photos. They were dressed elegantly to match the venue’s aesthetic. The gown was provided by Sara Beth’s Bridal. She has very unique gowns that meet the needs of all her brides. His gray suit really was elegant. I find that I really am drawn to the lighter colored suits because of how it elevates the photos. It must be a style preference. I could not be more thankful for this shoot. If you are thinking of having your wedding at the Chateau des Fleurs I highly recommend it, because everything about that venue screams uniqueness and elegance. The getting ready room for the bride is unique and fun. Contact this amazing venue for a tour today. Or join them for their High Tea on Wednesdays. A full list of local venues are listed below.

The Cottage at Riverbend Shoot. So I feel like I should be up front with the story behind this shoot. As a photographer I am all about getting creative. I think it helps me grow as a photographer and fills my cup. Sometimes I get caught up on the the social media game. I see all these beautiful shoots that are planned by amazingly talented vendors. It stings me a little as a creative to not be asked to shoot some of them. Or maybe I am asked to shoot things and they do not really align with what I am looking for to build my portfolio or grow as a photographer.
Though there is always plenty of work to go around sometimes I get down on myself. Questioning all the things that I shouldn’t even think about. Do not get me wrong I feel like there are always ups and downs in business. Sometimes it just gets to you. It’s what you do with when you feel that way that matters most. Being in the industry for quite a while I like to think of myself as seasoned. I have made amazing friendships along the way. That’s when I decided it was time to get busy and stop feeling discouraged. By working to create and bring back the pretty and grow as a creative.
I got this CRAZY idea that I should just plan and shoot an entire wedding editorial. Boy let me tell you I have some pretty amazing friends that really helped make my vision a reality. I 100 percent could not have done a shoot to this scale by myself I am forever grateful for my vendor friends. I am sure they are glad to not be getting 100 messages from me as well hahaha.
The Cottage at Riverbend Wedding editorial. This venue is amazing. The shoot was inspired to bring back the pretty! I find myself often wondering where the pretty has gone in weddings. Either they are rustic or Boho why can the current trends not be pretty and elegant and still showcase some of those elements. The Cottage at Riverbend is a fully restored Spanish inspired 1930’s cottage. This cottage is the cutest and the grounds are really well manicured. This venue has so much to offer their couples. The vintage architecture adds so much character to the wedding events.
The color pallet for this editorial was fun. It was all about the summer. Bright and soft colors that work well together. These colors were found all throughout the details. They are present in the cake, invitations, flowers and flatware. The colors tired all the details together.
The couple were in elegant attire. The Maggie Sottero gown provided by Bridal By Marie brought intricate details and an elegant style to the bride’s look. The groom’s attire was sleek and the color of his tux provided by Tuxedo Warehouse added to the overall aesthetic of this inspiration. The couple is a genuine couple. The groom Brett flew in 2 days before after a 7-month long deployment in Qatar. The bride just finished her last semester at Boise State and walked for her graduation two days prior. The love that these two genuinely share for one another was evident in the photos.
Let’s talk about vendors for this amazing shoot. The cake was made by the talented Mihaela of Dulcerella Cakes. She is amazing at what she does. She creates the most unique cakes. Also makes all sorts of yummy desserts. The flowers were designed by Gerald of Gerald’s Floral in Nampa. I have worked with him several times let me tell you his attention to detail and design is amazing. He always creates such stunning florals. The tableware was provided by Anna with Flying China. She has such an amazing selection of flatware and all things pretty for tableware. We used her vintage mismatched china.
Hair and Makeup was done by Kayla with Idaho Stylists. Her approach to hair and makeup is beautiful and natural. Having had Kayla do my own makeup I can attest to her amazing talent. The invitations were created by Paperie + Pen. She created invitations that matched the theme of all things pretty and elegant. Flat lays consisted of modern and vintage elements to bring all the details together.
I was so happy with this editorial shoot. It was the first one I had ever planned and it came together beautifully. The attention to detail was so beautifully portrayed throughout the entire shoot. Thank you to the amazing vendors that made this possible and also helped me in the planning process. I could not have done it without their help. There were so many moving parts to this shoot. The only thing I would have changed was the amount of crazy wind we had that evening. I am so thankful for this experience and it really has help me grow creatively. To all those creatives that might be struggling get out there and take an opportunity to grow and create you 100 percent will not regret it. The Cottage at Riverbend Wedding editorial was one to remember.

Inn at Spanish Head Wedding. The Oregon Coast did not disappoint. Jeremy and Chelsea’s wedding at the Inn at Spanish Head was a dream. Chelsea and my husband had worked together back when we lived in the Portland area. When I found out Chelsea was engaged I reached out to see if she needed any help with the planning process. I was more than delighted when she asked if I was available to photograph it. Chelsea has been along and watched my photography journey since it started. I was so excited to be a part of her wedding.
Chelsea and Jeremy met online and they knew they wanted a life together and they were most excited that they found each other so they can adventure together for the rest of their days. They both share the same interests of fitness and also run a business together. They recently bought a house in Happy Valley Oregon.
Their wedding was originally supposed to be last November but it because of the pandemic they moved it to this March. I had been watching the forecast for two weeks and it was supposed to RAIN and by RAIN I mean it was a 90 percent chance of rain the entire day. We lucked out the day of the wedding was overcast and a little windy but no rain. The two of them shared a first look at their ceremony location. It was special and just the two of them and they it was time for them to be married.
We had the best dinner and then the couple caught the ONLY 5 minutes of sunlight and it created some epic magical sunset portraits. I am so glad I got to share such a special time with an amazing couple. It is so exciting to see where life takes them. I am also hoping that one day my adventures will take me back to the Oregon Coast. The Inn at Spanish Head did not disappoint. I hope to visit again soon.
