Engagement Session Locations Near Boise

Engagements…My first question to all my couples is where would you like to have your engagements taken. I thought it would be a great reference to write a blog post about some Engagement Session Locations Near Boise.  When thinking about a location for your Engagements I think here in the greater Boise area there are two main questions you need to ask yourself when thinking in terms of location. One being do you want a city vibe or two are you wanting more of a nature feel in your photos.  We will expand on these two topics down below.  You will also find some of my favorite locations to photograph engagements at.

Engagements with a City Feel around Boise Idaho

Boise Idaho offers a unique feel to Engagement. I have shot many engagement sessions in Boise.  A few of my favorite locations include downtown parking garages, the many unique brick walls. I feel like the Boise Train Depot is also an iconic spot for photos and has great city views and gives you a little bit of nature feel. Boise really does offer very unique looks to a city feel engagement session.

The beauty of an Idaho Engagement Session

Engagements that show all things outdoors in Boise Idaho.  There are lots of places around Boise that showcase the beauty of the area.  There are many parks and foothill locations that all give different vibes during different times of the year.  Spring is green and Summer is beautiful. Fall is full of color. Summer you get the pretty light yellow tones that come when the grass turns when it is warm outside. At the end of the day it really just depends on what season you want your photos in.  Winter is cold but the snow is magic.

Some of my favorite locations are The Boise Train Depot.  Click HERE to see a blog post from the Depot.  I also love Katherine Albertsons Park. It offers a wide variety all times of the year.  Wilsons Ponds in Nampa is also very pretty in the spring and summer months.  If you are wanting a mountain look I always suggest Grimes Creek.  I am not too much of a fan of Bogus Basin Road to be honest there really is not a lot of options up there unless you are going off roading past the resort.  It’s a long curvy drive up that road and you can get that mountain look out towards Idaho City.
