Winter is here! This session of Boise Winter Engagement Photos was such a fun break from the normal slowness of the winter season. I first met Rob and Madeline at the wedding expo this past fall. I was so excited that they reached out to me about photographing their wedding this coming September. They expressed a need for getting some photos for their save the date cards that needed to go out as soon as possible. This winter has been a mix of emotions from Mother Nature so I was honestly a little worried about what the weather would be like. That week we had it all, rain, sleet, excessive wind and so much gloom.
Boise Winter Engagement Session
The day of the session came and it was definitely gloomy but we had no other elements other than the normal cold! The clouds were dense and it was a warm 25 degrees. Despite the challenges of winter I feel like we made the best of it and we were able to capture a bunch in the 20 minutes we shot for. They will be doing the bulk of their engagements in the foothills at springtime. There were laughs and smiles all around for these two. It is always a breath of fresh air to see such a happy couple. I always try to make my sessions enjoyable and in this case quick because it truly was a chilly morning in February. Winter is pretty dead around here. I was pleased with the snow and the lowness of the Boise River. I don’t think we could have picked a much better location that was inside of the valley. It really made for a pretty backdrop for these Boise winter engagement photos. If you would like to see more engagements click HERE.
