This Adventure Engagement Session in McCall was so much fun. The heat of the day ended in the cool crisp water of the Payette Lake in such a beautiful location. Jason and Lainey wanted a mountain feel to their engagement session. They both love the outdoors and have spent a lot of time in Cascade over the years adventuring together. I happened to be in McCall and offered to shoot their session there if they wanted to make the drive up. They were all for it and I was so glad. McCall is one of my happy places. We have been coming to McCall since before we lived in the great state of Idaho.
When choosing a Mountain scene in McCall it’s pretty easy since I think of McCall as being in the mountains. I settled on Ponderosa Park. It really has so much to offer in terms of variety. The tall dense pine trees and beautifully bloomed sage brush really added to the overall visual ascetic of this mountain scene. We started in a meadow of sagebrush and ended in the waters of Payette Lake. The weather was all sunny and beautiful outside.
I had so much fun getting to know Lainey and Jason. It was really a great way to spend my evening and I am looking forward to their wedding next year. It will be beautiful. They spent the evening smiling and it was not just for the camera. These two really do enjoy spending time together. This was the first time I have gotten to do a summer Adventure Engagement Session in McCall. To see a fun winter one that has a very different look to it click HERE.
Planning an engagement session can be a bit overwhelming. I have a Pinterest board full photos of engagement sessions that can be used as inspiration to see that board click HERE. Also there are some great resources in the planning section of my blog. If you are on the fence about doing a session my advice is always for a session because they really are a lot of fun. If you are thinking about one of these fun sessions reach out I would love to chat about one.
