Midsummers wedding at Fox Canyon Vineyard, Idaho | John and Anna

Wedding at Fox Canyon Vineyard, Idaho || John and Anna

Wedding at Fox Canyon Vineyard, Idaho | John and Anna. I had the pleasure of meeting Anna last year for coffee. From our first meeting I knew that Anna and John’s wedding was going to be full of emotion and all things pretty.  The two of them moved to Boise for jobs not knowing anyone most of their wedding guests flew in to witness these two say I do on a hot and smokey Friday evening. We got a little bit of a cool spell and smoke helped keep the temps down so it was bearable.  A week before we were 108 so 92 felt pretty great.   John and Anna said I do at one of my favorite venues.  Fox Canyon Vineyard in Marsing, Idaho.  It is a wedding venue ideally situated on the cliffs of the Snake River offering spectacular views for your outdoor, rustic ceremony and reception.

The Details

If you have been around a while you know that details are some of my favorite things to capture on a wedding day. Anna’s shoes were a special part of her day.  The lace flowers were hand stitched on to her shoes from her Mother’s wedding dress which her Grandma made. So her Grandma was a part of her day in such a special way.  The florals tied it all together from the flat lay details to the soft romantic bouquet that was made by Ashely with Wild Alpine Floral.  They hand painted their vow books and even had a late night snack of cereal and milk which tied into their love story.

Anna had a first look with her dad and then John.  This was my first time doing a first look at the iconic ivy wall at Fox Canyon Vineyard. The location did not disappoint. We were able to do all the family formals before the wedding so the couple got to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. The ceremony was full of stories of their beginnings and promises they made to each other.  They finished their exit with a grand dip and a champagne toast to celebrate becoming husband and wife.

Reception

The first dance was iconic! I love that they took dance lessons and had some fun moves in their steps.  The rest of the night was a celebration for sure.  The dancing and the laughter could be heard from a mile away.  These two know how to throw a party.  Limbo and a special number by the bride and her sisters were just some of the highlights.  We visited the Vineyard for a hazy sunset for photos. We finished the night with a tradition known only at Fox Canyon Vineyard. It is fun to watch but I wouldn’t want to drink out of the beer bucket! Congratulations to the Newlyweds. I can’t wait to see what adventures life takes. I feel blessed to have done so many weddings at Fox Canyon if you would like to see one from last year click HERE.
