McCall Idaho Winter Engagements

A McCall Idaho Winter Engagement session is just what I needed. These months I do not get to create as much as I want to.  Let’s face it, it is just plain cold outside. When Nicole and Thomas were thinking about their engagement shoot in McCall, Idaho I was all for it. We usually are up there a week in February and a week in March. The two of them rarely get time off together so this was the perfect opportunity for a day trip to McCall. McCall is my happy place here in Idaho. No matter the season it is always beautiful.

McCall holds a place in their love story. They have celebrated milestones during their relationship.  I was happy that we were able to make it work. I hand picked out several different local spots that would showcase the mass amounts of snow that town gets. The first was the famous Payette Lake which is frozen over this time of year. However did you know that even on a frozen lake you have to trek through the snow to get out there? I needed snowshoes!  Step after step I would sink in at least to my upper leg. It was a workout to say the least but so worth it. I only wish someone was videoing us trying to make our way out there.

Nicole and Thomas did great on their outfit choices. Both outfits complimented one another very well. I loved their dressy outfit and they were brave because it was COLD outside. During their outfit change I was able to photograph Nicole’s ring. Talk about gorgeous. They even brought their cute little pup Harley to join in on the fun. Though it was a cold cloudy day I still think the snow and setting made these engagement photos magical. I look forward to their wedding later this year. This beautiful McCall Idaho Winter Engagements was a shoot to remember.
