There is always a fear of rain on your Wedding Day or Engagement session. Rainy day engagements in Boise, Idaho are a real thing. Madeline and Rob’s engagement session was a very rainy session. We actually rescheduled the first session due to the rain and well when I pulled up to the second session it was again raining, not quite as hard as it was the first session. They took it as a sign and we went for it. I loved the willingness. Many people say that rain on a wedding day is good luck! Call it what you may often times, it’s really challenging to photograph in the rain. We took these photos at Kathryn Albertson’s Park in Downtown Boise Idaho. I have photographed here many times and it never disappoints. Perk of the rain was no one was there.
When there is rain in the forecast there are some helpful things you can do. I always carry clear umbrellas. They really aid in my style of photography. They allow what little light there is during a rain strom to pass through and brighten up the clients. I also recommend you carry them while walking to different locations. Rain happens in Boise, Idaho it is rare but spring and fall it’s always a possibility.
This session was so much fun and quick. Rain always makes things quicker than usual. I spend the majority of this time laughing and moving things right along. The session took about 20 mins but we were able to capture a wide variety of locations and poses. The rain did not dampen their spirits and we had a great time. Rainy day engagements in Boise Idaho really can be fun just do not forget the clear umbrellas and the sense of fun and adventure. Laugh and go with the flow. Trust the process and you will love the photos and the end result.
