A beautiful Deer Flat Ranch Wedding inspired editorial will have you thinking about hosting a wedding here. Walk, don’t run to book your date. This venue is gorgeous and has so many things to offer their couples. It is located in Nampa, Idaho right on Lake Lowell. It is a modern building that is full of beautiful natural light. In the summer months it has the most beautiful lavender fields. I had the opportunity to do a French inspired editorial shoot at this new venue and it did not disappoint.

The Planning

Every detail was planned out by Mihaela, the owner of Dulcerella Cakes. She describes the shoot as “The inspiration for this styled shoot was the toile pattern and the chinoiserie vases, with a European feel.” The tablescape started with a farm table for a French cottage vibe. Queen Louis chairs by Blush Creek Rentals. The vintage blue and white plates from a private collection. They were combined with modern white chargers and tableware. The candlestick holders in both wood and gold from The Little Gem Details.

The flower arrangements gave the blue and white vases a modern touch. They had tall blue delphiniums and white roses by Gerald’s Floral. The bouquet was kept in a traditional and romantic style, with all white flowers. The soft blue and white florals were included in the stationery, along with navy blue accents from Paperie and Pen.

French Inspired Editorial

Another mix of vintage and new: a versatile bistro table with marble top was perfect to show off the vintage champagne bucket and champagne flutes. The vintage desk with carved details from Blush Creek was perfect to transform the cake area in feminine and romantic display. A seating lounge by Blush Creek, of curated specialty furniture, was there for guests to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

For the cake, Dulcerella Cakes chose to do a stenciled toile pattern on the middle tier, accentuated by a hexagonal bottom tier with gold details, and sugar handmade flowers: peonies and butterfly ranunculus.
