Waters Edge Event Center Wedding

A wedding to remember!! Jeff and Amanda’s wedding at Waters Edge Event Center in Eagle. It was a beautiful day full of so many laughs! I first met Jeff and Amanda back in August of 2018. They both came to our consultation and were such a joy to visit with.  Fast forward to just a few months ago I ran into Amanda. Turns out she is a wonderful emergency room nurse, I was there with one of my sick children. It was the moment when you know that you recognize someone but just couldn’t place it! We were quick to discover right away the connection we had! We all look a little different outside of our normal clothes! It was so fun to catch up and she took such amazing care of us while we were there.

It’s been said that you attract the type of people that you desire. Well I have to say I have such amazing clients! No joke when the wedding was over I got a little sad because after months of communicating, cards, emails and coffee dates it is just not the same! I consider so many of my clients friends even if I do not get to see or hear from them as often as I like! At the end of the night I felt as if I was leaving a friend’s wedding who I just had the amazing opportunity of documenting.

The Big Day Has Arrived

As I woke up the morning of Amanda’s wedding I texted her to wish her a HAPPY WEDDING DAY! Months of planning and preparation and the day is here!  It was POURING rain. No joke it has rained more this week then it has in the last six months! Amanda was all for it! Such an amazing attitude. I packed my clear umbrellas in my styling kit and headed out.  I was about an hour earlier than scheduled because I really wanted to capture some of the details.  If you have been following along on my adventures for a while now you know that details get my creative juices flowing and are some of my most favorite things to document.

A wedding day detail tip! I always gather everything up and head out to find some natural light where it is not pouring! An extra special detail was Amanda’s Grandfathers ring that she carried with her on her bouquet. It was a great addition to the wedding day details

The whole atmosphere was so laid back and easy going it made my job less stressful.  Amanda had just started getting her hair done while I was photographing her dress and shoes! PS you have to scroll down and check out her Kate Spade Ked shoes. Her daughter also had them in black!! Her other two bridesmaids however made their purple shoes! Props to their creativity and they did an amazing job. Her florals were done by Gerald’s Floral located in Nampa, Idaho. They were beautiful and full of all different flowers the colors all worked so well together.  Some of her arrangements had one of my favorite flowers, anemones! This is the second time I have seen them and they were just as gorgeous as the first time.

The First Look

The first look was something special for these two.  They went back and forth on whether or not to do one or not.  I have to say I am so glad they did.  I was able to capture it and the amazing emotion that went along with it. It also allowed for some extra time to get family formals and bridal party photos taken because we had a short break in the weather. Between the air horns and the red noses it made for lots of laughs! The bridal party all had red noses for a photograph to surprise the bride and groom. The air horn well let’s just say that no one really knew when that thing was going to go off or who had it! It made several appearances thought out the entire day.

The reception involved a first dance and the ever so funny shoe game. Cake cutting happened

…Do you think they were nice to one another? You’ll have to keep scrolling to find out! It had rained the whole entire day so I was doubtful of sunset photos. It turns out they just happened to get a couple minutes of an amazing sunset! Such a beautiful pink sky to put an end to their amazing day.  Amanda and Jeff thank you so much for letting me document such as special time. I had so much fun with your family and friends. Such an amazing group of people. Jeff and Amanda’s Wedding- Waters Edge Event Center is one to remember.
