Thomas and Nicole’s Fox Canyon Vineyard Wedding
Thomas and Nicole’s Fox Canyon Vineyard Wedding was beautiful. I met the two of them what seems like forever ago. These two have been planning the details of their wedding for the last 18 months. Everything came together so beautifully. Nicole and Thomas’s engagement session was one of the most unique sessions I have had the pleasure of shooting. It was in the heat of winter in beautiful McCall, Idaho. You can see all the adventure HERE.
The Backstory
“We met on Tinder 3 and a half years ago. I was living in Twin Falls and Thomas lived in Boise. We did long distance for 3 years and then Nicole got a job in Boise so she moved in with Thomas. We both have a passion for exploring life and traveling together. Thomas got Nicole into dirt bike riding and Nicole got Thomas back into Snowboarding.
The proposal: On October 31st 2020 Thomas took Nicole on a 5 mile hike to the Shafer Butte lookout at the top of Bogus Basin. This spot holds a special place in Nicoles heart because this is the mountain she teaches at, and Thomas has volunteered as an instructor during the Nubability camp. It is a location that you can spot from most places around Boise.”
The Wedding Day
The wedding was held at Fox Canyon Vineyard in Marsing, Idaho. It is one of my favorite venues here in the Treasure Valley. The setting is stunning and the views are amazing. It sits cliff side on the Snake River. The venue staff goes above and beyond to make your day a memorable one. Nicole put in lots of work over the last 18 months creating one of a kind details for her wedding. The center pieces of the tables were hand cut by Nicole herself. The couple loves adventure and travel. Their center pieces were all National Parks that the couple have been to and had a photo at. What a cool idea and so unique to their day. There were small touches like that throughout the whole wedding.
The color pallet was one that I had not seen in a long time. Dark maroon and blues throughout. The florals were once again done by Courtney with Posies she does amazing work. Everything was tired together beautifully. Thomas and Nicole’s tribe was big in numbers and super fun. They were there for the couple and helped the couple with all their wedding needs. It is so fun the see them all rally together for the bride and groom.
There were tears of joy and amazing advice given to the couples in the toasts and throughout the day. There were mad dance skills out on the dance floor even to the first song about tacos I have ever heard! So many laughs and magical golden hour portraits that really made this day beautiful from start to finish. Nicole also pulled off the most epic Daddy Daughter Dance I have ever seen. It was perfectly choreographed and her girls joined in on the fun.
These two are currently enjoying the amazing waters of Tahiti! Happy newlywed bliss Thomas and Nicole.
