This Downtown Boise Engagement Session was so much fun. I have not gotten the opportunity to photograph many engagement sessions downtown Boise. I had so much fun with these two. Over the yeas I have gotten to know Luke. Watching him grow since he was in high school has been super neat. I actually photographed his prom photos his sophomore year. I was so excited when his soon to be wife Nikki and him were up for a downtown engagement session. Boise’s downtown is a small scale downtown, however my most favorite parking garage is down there. When the light is just right it’s pretty magical. We started there and did some fun shots. We then ventured over to the famous Freak Alley and finished up getting a few photos walking back to the garage.
Winter Engagement Session
This time of year Boise is well, let’s just say it DEAD. The lovely winters we have take all the color away from everything so finding a location that does look dead requires a different look to photos. Of course unless dead look is what you are going for. The scenery downtown offers so much for photos. There are a lot of unique buildings and different textures.
If you are wanting engagement photos in the heat of the winter months that do not involve snow, consider a city setting.
