Honalee Farm’s Wedding

I met Matt and his wonderful bride Lauren at the end of last year. During the planning I had met and talked all about their journey as a couple. They grew up in neighboring towns in California however did not meet until life took both of them to Boise, Idaho. Talk about a small world though. We did their engagement shoot where I got to meet their fur babies. It was so much fun getting those two in front of the camera. Rusty their golden retriever was so spunky and I was so excited to see him the day of the wedding walking down the aisle with a cute bandanna that said “I do too”

The bride and groom picked the perfect venue for their wedding day. With the couples love for water and beautiful colorful landscaping shined through in their venue choice. Wedding took place at Honalee Farm’s in Eagle, Idaho. According to Lauren it was a venue that had a plan A, B and C just in case. No one can count on Idaho’s weather in early June. It would be the case that during the course of the day we saw sun, rain, clouds, and so much wind.

Wedding Day Has Arrived

When I arrived at the venue around 12:30 to capture some of the getting ready shots and venue details. It was set up beautifully. My LOVE for the details makes such amazing photographs. All the little things that come together to make an amazing wedding day. Lauren was stunning already and hadn’t put a drop of make up on. Her girls were so so very helpful. Anything I needed they were all over it ALL day long. It was so wonderful. The wedding party put together the neatest gift I have seen, friends and family write letters to the bride and groom unannounced to them and presented them with the gift a little later on in the day.

Matt and Lauren’s first look was special as according to Matt it had been 30 hours since he had seen Lauren….I think he was counting but I was assured by Lauren that it had not been that long. It was so wonderful to see the couple’s reactions. Lauren truly made a remarkable bride. Next was Lauren’s first look with her dad another emotional part for sure.

This Bride and Groom had a lot of family that traveled a long ways to be a part of their day. Family photos were very important to them. Thanks again Matt if you are reading this for the list it was so VERY VERY helpful. Rusty their fur baby even made an appearance walking down the aisle talk about a well-mannered dog! He sat nicely the whole ceremony. The rest of the wedding went nicely and the dessert was simply Amazing! Flour Child in Boise made some amazing dessert for sure!

The Perfect Ending

The wedding ended just a tad early which met the sparkler exit was during the daylight. I had only done one during the day before this wedding. I have to say I love the night look but the day look is really neat as well. It was blast sharing this couple’s love story and watching their special day unfold.
