John and Anna’s Boise Foothills Engagement Session was full of every kind of weather you could think of.  It was a rainy November day. By rainy it literally poured all day long. At three in the afternoon I noticed it started to break and the sun began peaking through the dark dense clouds. Anna contacted me a week earlier about photographing their wedding this coming July at Fox Canyon Vineyards.  If you have been around my journal for a while you know how much I enjoy photographing at this amazing venue in the very small town of Marsing, Idaho.  Anna was hoping to get their engagements done sooner rather than later because of no shave november.  Now you might be asking yourself what that is but let me tell you I have actually had several encounters with no shave November.

These two are new to the Boise area and love the outdoors. They are into Mountain biking and winter sports so Boise has been a great fit for them.  I can’t wait for them to experience our snow vs the East Coast. Hang tight Anna and John, the snow is coming I promise.  We chose a location that would showcase the natural beauty of the foothills with just a touch of fall color left.  It is fading a little more quickly then I would like but I am thankful we got this beautiful session in.

Idaho weather did not disappoint on this Boise Foothills Engagement Session

The weather was a different story and changed several times throughout this session.  Typical for Idaho fall.  There had these crazy dense storm clouds that the sun would shine in between the passing clouds. We had this fine mist of rain that created a crazy hazy glow towards the end of the night.  We also had the most incredibly bright rainbow that these dark storm clouds provided the perfect contrast to make the rainbow just pop right out of the sky.  This rainbow was one of the brightest ones I have ever seen, even a mirror of a slight double rainbow effect.  I had so much fun hanging out with this couple and their beautiful fur baby and I can not wait for their wedding this July. This was definitely a Boise Foothills Engagement Session to remember. To see another Fall engagement session click HERE.
